FEDECOM took part in the BRIDGE General Assembly 2026, held on 23-24 March in Brussels and online, with smartEn (Smart Energy Europe) representing the project.
This flagship event brought together Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 projects, policymakers, and key energy stakeholders to exchange results, share experiences, and strengthen collaboration towards a clean, flexible and citizen-centred energy system.
The General Assembly plays a central role in aligning ongoing EU-funded initiatives with the evolving policy and regulatory landscape of Europe’s energy transition.
Within the BRIDGE initiative, supported by the CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, FEDECOM actively contributes to the Working Group on Regulation.
In particular, the project is involved in co-leading Action 1 on Peer-to-Peer and Energy Sharing, which explores the role of energy sharing in the future European electricity market design.
Through this engagement, FEDECOM aims to:
⦁ Advance practical and scalable solutions for energy sharing
⦁ Support data-driven innovation and interoperability
⦁ Foster stronger citizen participation in energy markets
By contributing to BRIDGE activities, FEDECOM strengthens its role in connecting research, policy, and implementation. These exchanges are essential to ensure that innovative solutions developed within EU projects effectively support the deployment of renewable energy communities and more inclusive energy systems across Europe.
The project looks forward to continuing its active engagement within the BRIDGE community and to contributing to shared learning, innovation, and impact in the years ahead.
