FEDECOM project Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy
The FEDECOM project (FEDErated “system of systems” approach for flexible and interoperable energy COMmunities) is a Horizon Europe project, which started on October 1st, 2022 and will run for 48 months. It brings together 17 partners from different types of structures (private companies of various sizes, non-governmental organisations, universities) spread across 7 European countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom) with Grant Agreement n°101075660.

To ensure adherence to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant data protection laws, we have crafted this privacy policy to furnish you with details about the collection of personal data, its utilization, and the intended purposes thereof.

In strict adherence to the guidelines established by this program, along with the relevant laws and regulations regarding GDPR, we guarantee the complete security and confidentiality of your data. These data are exclusively processed for the purpose of furnishing information and disclosing initiatives exclusively associated with project activities. Your privacy is of paramount importance to us, and we handle the information you provide with utmost care and respect. We do not share, sell, or utilise any of your personal information with any partner or third party unless mandated by law.

The following privacy policy elucidates how the FEDECOM communication partner, ENERGIES 2050 (French Association Loi de 1901), having its headquarters in 688 Chemin du Plan, 06410 Biot, France, denoted as “we” or “us” in the following, may collect, store, and process your personal data, specifying the purpose, and outlining your data protection rights.

How and when are we collecting your data
We gather your personal data when you subscribe to our newsletters and mailing lists, as well as when you register for or engage in our events or any other activities we host, and you become a registered participant. Additionally, we may also collect your personal data from publicly available online sources in the public domain, particularly when your professional involvement is directly related to FEDECOM project activities and focal areas. In any case your personal data will be used exclusively for the project implementation and purpose.

What kind of personal data we collect, store and process
The personal information we might gather, retain, and handle could encompass the following: your full name, gender, email address, phone number, job title, organizational affiliation, and your professional mailing address. These data will solely be of information you could provide through our registration forms or in interactions with the FEDECOM project, or details that you have voluntarily disclosed and are publicly accessible in the public domain.

What will your personal data be used for in the project?
We may utilize your personal information exclusively for the following purposes:

  • To deliver emails regarding FEDECOM project’s activities if you have made such a request.
  • To send you FEDECOM newsletter if you have subscribed to it.
  • On occasion, to send you targeted emails promoting our events, projects, and new publications using subscribers to our newsletter.
  • During the events FEDECOM project is organising. When you register online for our events, the data you provide on our registration forms are used for managing your registration and facilitating communication related to the event. Your name, job title, organization, and country will be included in the participant list distributed during the event. Please note that we do never include your phone number or email address in our event participant lists.

Unsubscribe option to no longer receive our communications.
You have the option to unsubscribe from our newsletters and mailing list at any time by using the subscription link provided in every newsletter issue and in the footer of every message received from our mailing lists.

How long will your data be stored?
Your personal data will be kept with us until you notify our data protection officer at admin@energies2050.org that you would like your information to be erased.

Where your data will be stored?
Your data will be stored in the servers of the company OVH which is based in France (2 rue Kellermann – 59100 Roubaix – France). The servers are located in Europe and your personal information will never be stored outside the European economic area, whether on servers or in a cloud. These measures guarantee the strictest compliance with European rules regarding the GDPR.

Your rights to the protection of your personal data
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to ask us whether we are processing your personal data and to access it.
  • The right to rectify any inaccuracies in your personal data and to ensure completeness.

Analysis and reporting of data from the FEDECOM site
The website data (traffic, views, n. of users) will be analysed through the Google Analytics which is a web analytics service provided by Google, LLC. This allows audience measurement, to have an overview of the real-time traffic to the website. The analyses and reports carried out are completely anonymous and in no way allow a visitor or user of the FEDECOM project site to be identified.

We keep our privacy policy under regular review, and we will place any updates on this web page to follow any potential GDPR evolution.
