Exploitable results (ER)

FEDECOM delivers a scalable and adaptable cloud-based platform composed of analytical, modelling and optimization services for planning, supervision and control of integrated local energy systems. This platform offers a series of functionalities that can be considered as well as stand-alone results of the project:

ER1 – FEDECOM Platform

ICT cloud-based platform enabling sector coupling and flexibility by integrating all the functionalities supporting energy and flexibility trading intra and inter-communities.

ER2 – MCDA Recommender based on LCA planning

Optimised Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis algorithm to provide an advanced energy planning tool.

ER3 – Energy Dispatch Model

Optimal model representing the energy dispatching including quantification of energy distribution losses, the characteristics of network assets and topology.

ER4 – Integrative Optimiser

Modelisation resource able to centralise all inputs from FEDECOM modules and users to provide optimisation services.

ER5 – Grid Analytics & Diagnostics

Data driven grid analytics system able to measure and elaborate the grid parameters that can be used within the platform.

ER6 – MPC (model predictive control) Service (ER6)

Algorithm to monitor and control the optimal thermal conditions in buildings taking into account the climate predictions and the expected energy demand.

ER7 – RES Production Models

Machine learning models able to formulate production forecasts depending on weather, number of assets involved in the EC, others.

ER8 – Storage Aging Models

Software providing storage state estimations: both state of charge and state of health.

ER9 – Energy Demand Forecaster

Software forecasting the energy demand in the energy community based on buildings’ parameters.

ER10 – Demand Flexibility Estimator

Software modelling the opportunity of flexibility of each asset involved in the energy community.

ER11 – M&V Methodology

Methodology defining the data entry and measurement process in order to validate the energy savings and shared flexibility results.

ER12 – Open Marketplace

Blockchain-based local marketplace coupling for energy and flexibility trading, including the functionalities of intra and inter-community peer-to-peer trading with smart billing and energy certificate issuance service.

ER13 – Energy Gateway

Dedicated interfaces to integrate FEDECOM (platform backend) middleware with field level devices, with bidirectional communication mechanisms.

ER14 – Semantic Data Model

Ontology enabling semantic interoperability among the relevant systems in FEDECOM ecosystem.

ER15 – Visualization Tools

User-specific graphical interfaces for visualization of relevant operation and performance data.
