We are at a crucial stage in the development of the pilot project, dealing with the planning of installations to validate use cases and project objectives. AEM has just completed the installation of a new district battery and photovoltaic system, and in parallel work is underway to install new monitoring devices such as submeters, smart thermostats and temperature and humidity sensors in a selection of buildings in one of the energy communities.
Within the FEDECOM project, the Swiss pilot focuses on four use cases, aiming to increase the overall efficiency of the community through user awareness mechanisms, the use of flexibility in buildings to increase the hosting capacity of the local distribution grid, and the development of an intra- and inter-community energy and flexibility market.
In line with the objectives of the FEDECOM project, the Swiss pilot will continue to work closely with technical partners, including SUPSI and HIVE POWER. Together, we are actively contributing to the development and implementation of innovative energy resource management solutions and providing support services that benefit both community members and local distribution system operators
