The new revision of the BRIDGE brochure edition has been published end of July 2023 by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Energy. “BRIDGE is a European Commission initiative which unites Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe Smart Grid, Energy Storage, Islands, and Digitalisation Projects to create a structured view of cross-cutting issues which are encountered in the demonstration projects and may constitute an obstacle to innovation.”

The 226-page document provides a detailed description of the activities of the EC’s cooperative initiative and the last two years development. BRIDGE is a unique cooperation platform involving 155 projects in total (among which 97 are ongoing and 58 have completed as of 1 July 2023) gathering 1510 organisations from 39 countries for a total accumulated EC funding to all projects of 1303 M€ in the areas of Smart Grid, Energy Storage, Islands, and Digitalisation funded under the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe program over the last eight years (2015-2023).
